When we made ourselves slaves to sin and allowed it to become our master, we became powerless to overcome it.
Jesus came that we would be free and that we would have life to the fullest.
No longer do we need to drag around our sinful nature, our addictions, or the strongholds that keep us from freedom in Christ and a life lived fully to the glory of God.
